My Mumzilla sent me a great email this morning for a website that sends out emails/tweets about recalls and Health Canada Warnings.
You can add them to your twitter @hswtweet or sign up for emails by visiting http://www.healthandsafetywatch.com
Just a quick example of what is currently out there:
Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Comission (CPSC) report of a recall involving Manhattan Toy® QuixelTM Baby Rattle. The coloured arches can break near the ends, releasing a small part which can pose a choking hazard to small children.
Manhattan Group has received four reports of the rattles breaking. No injuries have been reported.
The recalled toys were sold at specialty toy and baby stores and online at firm’s website from September, 2011 through October, 2013 in Canada and the United States.
Corrective Active: Consumers should immediately take these rattles away from young children and return it to the store where purchased for a full refund.
For additional information, contact Manhattan Group toll-free at 1-800-541-1345 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CST Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s website.
I’m following them on twitter and think it’s a great idea if you do too!
